John Feig PT, CEO
John has over 30 years of experience as an Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapist. His interest in orthopedics and biomechanics began in the late 70’s in Boston at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital while working in the orthotics and prosthetics department. John is a graduate of Boston University completing his clinical residencies at three Harvard teaching hospitals. He opened Canyon Sports Therapy in Salt Lake City back in 1993 as a small one on one orthopedic Physical therapy clinic located at the now gone Snowbird Canyon Racquet Club.
Over the years John has established himself nationally as a problem solver and biomechanics pioneer. His experience includes working with top professional athletes from around the world. John understands the dynamics of the lower extremity and foot as few others do and has combined this as part of his physical therapy practice. He recently completed an advanced program in Los Angeles under Christopher M. Powers, PHD, PT, FACSM, FAPTA at USC with a focus on the evaluation and treatment of lower quarter dysfunctions. John regularly travels to Chris’ lab for updates in research. Dr. Powers has endorsed Canyon Sports Therapy as the only clinic in Utah presently able to institute his applied biomechanics protocol for gait, running, and cycling analysis as well as Return to Sports / injury prevention evaluation. The techniques and treatments you will experience in John’s clinic are based on cutting edge research and in many instances before it has yet even been published. John is driven to provide the most up to date in Physical Therapy with the very best orthopedic Physical Therapy staff by his side. It is his personal goal to provide and even push the boundaries of what Physical Therapy can provide for you.
